Dr. Marios Theophilou holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Physics and Meteorology from the same University. He also holds a Diploma in Weather Forecasting from the UK Met Office College, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Mediterranean Institute of Management and a PhD in Environmental Management from the Cyprus University of Technology.

During the period 2004 – 2005, Dr. Theophilou worked as an External Associate at the University of Cyprus. In November 2005, he was hired as a Meteorological Office and during the period 2016-2021 he was assigned as an Officer in the Minister’s of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Office. From 2021, Dr. Theophilou works at the Directorate General Growth of the Ministry of Finance, with a main focus on European Green Deal and Sustainable Development.

Finally, from October 2020 onwards, Dr. Theophilou is appointed as an External Lecturer at the European University of Cyprus and at the Cyprus College Limassol Campus, at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, teaching courses related to Business and Management.
